The South Laurel High School Marching Band is a program that many talented musicians and performers call home. Every fall, local and away crowds alike have come to anticipate and love the performances of the Marching Cardinals for their showmanship, tenacity, and creativity. 

The South Laurel High School Marching Band is a highly competitive program and has accumulated several honors over the last decade, including grand champions, best color guard, and best percussion. The marching band competes in the Kentucky Music Educators Association circuit. Since 2017, the band has been a KMEA State Championship finalist in AAAA class, taking home first place in 2018 and 2019.
