The South Laurel Symphonic Band has a rich history of distinguished performances at district and state concert assessments. In addition to distinguished ratings, the South Laurel Symphonic Band performs several concerts per year for the local community, friends, and family. The band is comprised of gifted musicians, several of which are selected for honors bands across the state such as All- Festival and All-Region. Musicians from South Laurel are also highly accomplished as soloists and small ensemble participants, receiving numerous distinguished honors each year. In 2019, six students were selected for All-State Band, setting a school record.
