Tony Barrett is a music and visual consultant from Beattyville, Kentucky.  The fall of 2020 will be his 6th year working with the South Laurel Marching Band Program. He resides in Beattyville, Kentucky where he was born, raised, and has been a teacher for 27 years.. During his tenure, he has taught band, chorus, arts & humanities, music, reading, ELA, social studies, been a media specialist for the district, and is now the District Athletic Director for Lee County Schools. Tony says some of his best memories have been working with the South Laurel program.  He says he will never forget the successes the band has had on the field the past few years.  However, more importantly, he says that he will always treasure the relationships he has formed with the students, staff, and parents….There is no place like South!
