Fundraising keeps South Laurel Bands on the field and on the stage.

Band fees cover only part of what it takes to run a competitive program. Fundraising pays for the rest: show design, instruction, props, uniforms, equipment and travel. Every family’s participation matters, and every dollar raised goes directly to the band.

Year-Round Fundraisers Sponsorships.
Local businesses and organizations can sponsor the band at any time of year. Sponsors are recognized [on our website, on the band trailer, and at the Cardinal Classic]. To become a sponsor, email southlaurelbands@gmail.com.

Kroger Community Rewards.
If you shop at Kroger, you can support the band every time you buy groceries, at no cost to you. Sign in to your Kroger account, open Community Rewards, and choose South Laurel Band Supporters as your organization. Kroger then donates a portion of your eligible purchases to the band.

Donations.
Gifts of any size are welcome through the donation form on this page. You can give to the program as a whole, sponsor a student, or put your gift toward props, uniforms or equipment.

Seasonal Fundraisers
Chicken Festival food booth (September). Band families staff a food booth during the World Chicken Festival in downtown London. Volunteers are needed to cook, serve and run the booth.

Cardinal Classic (October). Our marching band competition brings bands and fans from across Kentucky to South Laurel. Ticket, concession and program ad sales all support the band. Volunteers are needed throughout the day.

Fruit Sale (fall semester). Students sell fresh fruit to family, friends and neighbors. [Add ordering dates and how to buy.]

Christmas Concert bake sale and silent auction (December). Held during the Christmas Concert. We welcome baked goods, auction items and volunteers to help run the tables.

Dinner and All That Jazz (early spring). An evening of dinner and live music from the South Laurel Jazz Band. Buy a ticket, sponsor a table, or help decorate and serve.

Pops in the Park (early May). A community concert with music, food and family activities. Come out, bring a lawn chair, and bring a friend.
